Small Business : Rapid Website Design

Posted by Deerwalk on April 06, 2011

Client Profile

Our client is a NY based not- for-profit organization. It helps students from Palestine get education at prestigious universities in the US.

Business situation

Not- for-profit organizations need to be savvy in the current internet age when it comes to providing communication to its donors. They have to have a very visible web presence. They also need to provide captivating stories to get donors to understand and feel supportive to their cause. For those who want to donate, the site needs to provide an easy way to donate.

The client did not have an existing site and did not have any way of getting donations. The founder had to rely on his existing relationship to seek out new donors.

Solution

Deerwalk worked closely with the Founder to figure out how they wanted to portray themselves on the web. Deerwalk designed a simple and captivating site with tight involvement with the founder of the organization. The founder wanted the site to convey the right kind of message but did not know all the design necessary to get there. Deerwalk provided few options choose from. This made the process easy for the client. The client was able to see their ideas into action by seeing a mockup of the site within a day of their design. With two more iterations, the client got the site up and ready to receive donations.

Testimonial from the client

“Deerwalk is a technology partner with business savvy. They built our non-profit website in days, not weeks, and their professionalism made the process incredibly smooth. The people at Deerwalk understood our needs, were responsive, and created a site that we were proud to show the world. The final product had an immediate impact on our program and the Ecommerce site has paid for itself already. We plan to use them for more projects in the future.”
