Makalu 2.1.0 Release
September 04, 2013
Deerwalk is pleased to announce the 2.1.0 release of Makalu. This release includes the following key features:
COHORT on Data Search, Care Quality and Care Analytics
In Makalu 2.1, the Cohort filter has been added in Data Search, Care Quality and Care Analytics reports. Now user created Cohorts in Member Search can be used as a filter in these additional modules allowing clients to analyze and report on that specific sub-set of their population over time.
Multi Select LOA
The capability of selecting multiple Levels of Aggregation [LOA] filters is now available in Care Analytics. This functionality allows users to generate Care Analytics reportson all client selected LOA’s.
Separate per thousand and total report in UM and Chronic Condition
In the Care Analytics section of Makalu, some reports such as Chronic Conditions and Utilization Metrics offer the user the option to view the results for some metrics as “per 1,000” or by the actual “total” number of events. Previously, the Makalu Health Plan Report defaulted to include just the “per 1,000” results. Now the Health Plan report offers the user the option to show only per 1,000 numbers, only “total” numbers or both values for these two reports.
Configurable eligibility (from middle of the month)
Currently, we calculate member eligibility status based on end of the month date. In Makalu 2.1 we are able to calculate status based on middle of the month if a client asks for it.
