September 03, 2014
Deerwalk is pleased to announce the 3.3.0 release of Makalu. This release includes the following key features:
Program Evaluator / Heat Map
The Program Evaluator report compares program effectiveness across age bands. Effectiveness is calculated by comparing PMPM values for participating and non-participating members who share the criteria specified on the report generation page. Lower values indicate higher effectiveness and are shaded in increasingly darker shades of blue, higher values indicate lower effectiveness and are shaded in increasingly darker shades of red. White shaded cells indicate roughly neutral effectiveness.
Provider Summary for Visits and Admissions
In the Utilization Metrics Report under Financial Analytics a new drilldown screen provides a summary of visits and admissions at the provider level. A facility-by-facility breakdown of cost associated with specific utilization metrics is displayed. Further drill down on the values displays a comprehensive list of the visits associated with each individual calculation.
Top 10 Chronic Conditions- Dashboard Graph
The Top 10 Most Expensive Chronic Conditions chart was added in this release to the Makalu library of available dashboard charts and graphs. This bar chart shows the total spend for the top 10 most expensive chronic conditions.
Re-admission report- 15 day Re-admit
On our existing Re-admission Report we have added information on re-admissions within 15 days of discharge. The report now looks at 7, 15 and 30 day readmission rates.
